David Crouch (historian)

David Crouch (born 1953) is an English historian, and Professor of Medieval History at the University of Hull. Crouch's main focus is on the social and political history of the period from 1000 to 1300, primarily in England.[1] He has written influential biographies on King Stephen and William Marshal, and books on the aristocracy of England and France in the High Middle Ages, as well as a study of the medieval tournament.[1]
